I think we all agree that our favorite memory was spending the afternoon playing on the snow covered hills at Crater Lake National Park. A close second would be the time we spent driving around in Canada looking for the Thousand Islands National Park, during which we took 4 trips on the same ferry, and still never found it... Or the time we almost ran out of gas in the middle of South Dakota at 2 o'clock in the morning. And then there's the time we almost hit a moose in Maine at 3 o'clock in the morning. Or the feeling we had after finally getting back to the top of the Grand Canyon after hiking down.
All in all we had an AMAZING trip and would do it again in a heartbeat. There are no words to truly express the impact this road trip had on each of us - from the things we saw, to the time spent together, and the people we visited, to the feats we accomplished, and the new perspective gained. Believe it or not, we managed to stick to our schedule and hit all of our stops, we even stayed under budget. We did undershoot our mileage by a little though, we ending up driving 12,042.6 miles.
Thanks to all of you who followed along with us during our trip via the blog.
